To combat news deserts across the country and provide important journalistic experience for college students and recent graduates, the Scripps Howard Fund is providing interns to nonprofit newsrooms.

The Scripps Howard Fund is sponsoring two summer internships at the Columbia Missourian. These paid, 10-week reporting roles are open to college students (undergraduate and graduate) as well as students graduating college in the 2025-26 school year.

Interns at the Missourian will also participate in weekly training sessions with fellow interns from across the country, in addition to the excellent one-on-one coaching from newsroom leaders.

Those interested in learning more can join the Fund’s virtual Q&A to learn more about the Missourian and ask questions of the outlet's hiring managers.  Click here to register :  https://ewscripps.zoom.us/meeting/register/dKrVE-PBS3KZ21r0h7e33Q
