In an effort to provide important journalistic experience for college students and recent graduates, the Scripps Howard Fund offers paid internship opportunities to nonprofit newsrooms.
The Scripps Howard Fund is sponsoring two summer internships at the Columbia Missourian. These 10-week reporting roles are not open to University of Missouri students, but are open to students and 2025-2026 graduates from other colleges and universities. Interns will be paid $15/hour and be expected to work 30+ hours each week.
Interns at the Missourian will also participate in weekly professional development sessions with fellow interns from across the country, in addition to the excellent one-on-one coaching from newsroom leaders.
Those interested in learning more can join the Fund’s virtual Q&A on Tues., Feb. 17, to learn more about the Missourian and ask questions of the outlet's hiring managers. Click here to register : https://ewscripps.zoom.us/meeting/register/dKrVE-PBS3KZ21r0h7e33Q
